Tryst requires every user to complete identity and background verification before their first match. This keeps everyone safe.
Age verification (18+)
We verify your date of birth against your government ID. Anyone under 18 is permanently blocked from the platform.
Sex offender registry check
We cross-reference all users against national sex offender registries (AU, US, UK, NZ). Any match results in immediate, permanent ban.
Violent offence screening
Users with convictions for assault, domestic violence, or stalking are flagged for manual review and may be permanently removed.
Identity document verification
Your government-issued ID is verified by our third-party partner (Onfido) using AI document analysis and liveness detection.
Selfie biometric match
A live selfie is matched against your ID photo using facial recognition. This prevents catfishing and impersonation.
Phone number verification
A verified mobile number is required. One account per number. Banned users cannot re-register with the same number.
Your data is private. Verification is handled by our certified partner Onfido. Tryst never stores raw ID documents. Background checks are conducted under Australian Privacy Act compliance.
